More than just a tour and trek operator, Adventures in Nepal is a community of travel experts and professionals who are highly skilled experts in providing travelers with safe, comfortable, and memorable experiences in Nepal. We have decades of experience working for the large global tour operators and we are fully trained in all facets of mountain trekking.

Since 2022, we have been working as a bridge between the world and rural Himalayan communities. We offer a variety of community-based tours and trekking packages in Nepal, and we can accommodate for every level of physical fitness and comfort.

From the very beginning, we have been laser focused on the ethical values of tourism ensuring the participation of women and local residents in community development. We believe that both the traveler and the communities that are being visited should benefit from tourism and we are committed to being the conduit through which this happens. Many times, the connection with travelers only happens within the group traveling and the communities are not active participants. We have changed this narrative and we bring the local people into the conversation and the story. Whether our travelers are meeting the owners of the teahouses or the children and teachers in the local schools, we are proud to provide our travelers and our communities with an up-close experience with the people they will each meet, and impact, along the way.

Our mission is built on 3 pillars. The first one is to provide a unique and authentic travel experience for travelers in a way that is not available with large tour operators.
Our second pillar is our guarantee to operate in an honest, transparent, and straightforward way. We have our guest’s best interests at heart and always make decisions with this in mind.
Our third pillar is to support the local communities that our travelers trek through. We encourage our guests to bring school supplies for the local schools and we are happy to provide a list of items that are needed for the various communities we visit. We also note here that because we are Nepalese owned and located, there is very little tourism leakage and this means more of the trekking fees stay in country to support our communities.

Adventures in Nepal is owned and operated by people with extensive experience that have worked for decades in tour and trekking industry. Our guides and porters are trained in first aid, fully experienced in high altitude mountaineering and because Nepal is their home, they are extremely knowledgeable about Nepal’s history, culture and religions and would welcome the opportunity to share their knowledge with you while learning about your country and culture as well.
For many years we worked for/with the large global tour operators however due to the pandemic we are now no longer affiliated with these operators. We have all been trained and educated through their training programs and when that experience and education is combined with our expertise on all things Nepal, we are confident that we are the best equipped to guide our travelers on their treks as well as provide the kind of treks people are now looking for – one that creates a closer connection to the people, our people and also benefits the communities that we travel through.
